Bas Hoeben was born in Amsterdam in 1956. He studied physics and mathematics at the University of Utrecht and at present teaches physics in a small Dutch town close to the German border.He is a self-taught photographer obtaining his technique from books by Ansel Adams. His subjects are landscapes, trees, close-ups and portraits.
